急性出血性结膜炎是一种由肠道病毒70型和柯萨奇病毒A24变型所致的急性病毒性眼部感染，其特征为结膜炎和结膜下出血，常在数日内迅速发病。该病于1969年在加纳的疫情中首次被确认，此后传播至全球范围，引起多次大规模流行事件[1][2]。

结膜炎，又称红眼病[1]，是指覆盖眼球白色表面及内眼睑的薄层透明结膜发生炎症。该病变会导致眼部呈现粉红色或红色[1]。

患者常出现疼痛、灼热感、异物感或瘙痒[1]。患眼可能流泪增多，晨起时眼睑易被分泌物粘连[1]。巩膜可能出现肿胀[1]。若角膜受累，可伴有明显眼痛。病毒性结膜炎通常表现为过度流泪与瘙痒，分泌物多为水样，并常伴随耳前淋巴结肿大。过敏因素引发的病例中瘙痒症状更为突出。此外，急性出血性结膜炎以突发的剧烈眼痛和球结膜下出血为典型特征。该病症可累及单眼或双眼[1]。
自1969年首次在加纳报告疫情以来，急性出血性结膜炎已在全球范围内传播，并引发数次大规模流行事件，目前已成为世界范围内重要的病毒性结膜炎病原类型之一[1]。
急性出血性结膜炎具有高度传染性，可通过密切接触以及与患者眼部分泌物的直接或间接接触实现人与人之间的传播，易在社区和集体环境中扩散[2]。
由于该病主要经密切接触传播，勤洗手及避免共用毛巾等眼部接触物品也是常规结膜炎通用的防控措施[1]。
