  3. Development and validation of indirect ELISAs based on multiepitope recombinant outer membrane protein fusion antigens for caprine brucellosis diagnosis

    Two fusion-protein ELISAs showed robust performance: OMP31/28/25 reached 91.34% sensitivity and 84.62% specificity versus RBT+MPAT, and 91.39% sensitivity and 91.97% specificity versus the commercial ELISA. OMP28/25 reached 95.28%/82.78% versus RBT+MPAT and 94.7%/89.96% versus the commercial ELISA. Cohen's kappa values of 0.71–0.83 indicated good-to-very good agreement. The single OMP31 ELISA was reported as having inadequate diagnostic performance.
